Service Acquired
Acquired from Howard in Palos Verdes in November 2025. He had purchased the chair years earlier from an antique dealer and used it in his home.
Fair condition. The fabric showed several stains, possibly caused by water exposure. The frame was sound but slightly loose and squeaky in places. The chair featured an ornate carved backrest with recessed panels and two opposing fish-like figures incorporated into the crest. The chair retained its upholstered seat with a coil spring system, and the dust cover beneath the seat was torn on one side.
One of the front wooden casters exhibited significant wear, including an enlarged oval axle opening caused by prolonged use.
