Chairs
These chairs were unwanted, abandoned, discarded, or recovered like driftwood from the street. Their value was gone, but their stories remained.
Each chair is a collaboration across space and time between its original makers, owners, repairers, and the present intervention. Layers of use, damage, repair, and adaptation remain visible.
The chairs continue to function. Acrylic elements can be replaced as they wear or break, while the chairs themselves retain the marks of their history. Changes, misuse, repairs, and accidents become part of the story.
